Nazarbayev University proudly announces that its
Graduate School of Education (GSE) has been awarded
International Program Accreditation by the
Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), United Kingdom, one of the world’s leading higher education quality assurance agencies. All three academic programs offered by GSE -
MA in Multilingual Education,
MSc in Educational Leadership, and
PhD in Education -
were accredited
without any reservations or conditions.
Following a rigorous international review, the QAA panel confirmed that all three programs fully meet the quality assurance standards of the
European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). This accreditation affirms GSE’s strong alignment with internationally recognised benchmarks for academic quality, governance, and the overall student experience.
The review team identified several areas of good practice, including strong and systematic student involvement in quality assurance and enhancement, extensive engagement with external stakeholders and alumni, robust assessment moderation processes with high levels of student awareness, and a well-established culture of student voice supported by close staff–student relationships. The panel also commended GSE’s extensive learning resources, facilities, and student support services, including targeted measures to address digital poverty, as well as the active role of student government in representing student interests and fostering a vibrant academic community.
The award of QAA International Program Accreditation recognises the quality and coherence of GSE’s academic programs, the vision and dedication of its leadership, the professionalism and commitment of its faculty and staff, and the achievements of its students and alumni. This shared accomplishment represents an important milestone in strengthening higher education in Kazakhstan in line with global best practices.
As the University celebrates this achievement, GSE remains firmly committed to international standards, continuous improvement, and academic excellence—advancing knowledge, expanding regional and global impact, and preparing future leaders to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
